Forrest earned his doctorate from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor inPiano Performance and Pedagogy. Recent achievements include a Gilmore Piano Festival fellowship, appearing as a soloist with Ann Arbor Symphony, and a Round Top Festival Institute fellowship. Forrest is also a Resident Teaching Artist with ArtistYear and served as a 2021 Artist in Residence at the Porto PianoFest. Awards include winning the 2021 Round Top Festival Institute Chamber Music Competition and the 2016 MTNA National String Chamber Music Competition.
