Luke Norvell studies with Music Academy teaching artist Bill Schuman at the Academy of Vocal Arts (AVA) in Philadelphia. He took first place in the 2021 NATS LA Collegiate Auditions. He has performed Lensky in Eugene Onegin at AVA and at the Music Academy last summer, Duca in Rigoletto and Alfredo in La Traviata, also at the Academy of Vocal Arts; Uriel in The Creation (Part 1) with Philadelphia Sinfonia, and Antol (cover) in Vanessa with the Spoleto Festival. In 2023 he received the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition Encouragement Award for the Southeast Region and was winner of the South Carolina District. This year, he will sing the leading role of Rodolfo in La bohème in the Music Academy Summer Festival.
