DIRECTOR OF SPECIAL EVENTS
Full-Time, Exempt
The Director of Special Events is responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and oversight of all special events at the Music Academy, including revenue-generating events, donor stewardship initiatives, and campaign-related functions. The ideal candidate is solutions-oriented, resourceful, and thrives in a collaborative and dynamic work environment. This position reports to the Chief Advancement Officer and collaborates with board, volunteers and other departments.
MANAGER OF PRE-COLLEGE & ALUMNI PROGRAMS
Non-Summer Part-Time, Non-Exempt

This key member of the Student Services Department is primarily responsible for assisting in the launch of and managing a new 2-week, pre-college program within the Music Academy Summer Music Festival & School for musicians between the ages of 14-18. Additional responsibilities include managing alumni and fellow engagement events throughout the year.
EVENTS ASSOCIATE
Part-time, Non-Exempt (multiple positions available)
The Music Academy seeks dynamic team members to help support the daily operations and maintenance of our beautiful campus. The ideal candidate will be someone with a true passion for connecting with people of all ages – from children to seniors – as they will assist staff and visitors with various on-site needs. The Events Associate reports to the Manager of Facilities. Non-summer shifts are primarily evenings and weekends with varying hours from week to week, up to 15 hours each pay period.
SING! SITE COORDINATOR
Part-Time, Non-Exempt, two positions available
The Music Academy of the West is committed to serving the youth of Santa Barbara with the highest level of excellence in choral instruction and music education through its Sing! program, now in its sixth year. Sing! Site Coordinators are instrumental to implementing the program’s vision and building relationships in our community. This position reports to the Artistic Director of Sing!.
SING! CHORAL DIRECTOR
Part-Time, Non-Exempt
The Music Academy of the West is committed to serving the youth of Santa Barbara with the highest level of excellence in choral instruction and music education through its Sing! program, now in its sixth year. Sing! Choral Directors are instrumental to implementing the program’s vision and building relationships in our community. This position reports to the Administrative Director of Sing!
