Mariposa Concert Series Brings World-Class Performances to Santa Barbara Year-Round
Long after the final ovation of summer, music continues to resonate across the Music Academy of the West’s Montecito campus. The Mariposa Concert Series returns for its fourth season this fall, offering a collection of five intimate concerts from October 2025 through April 2026.

The series opens October 17 with Prometheus Quartet, the Academy’s 2025 Music Academy’s Emerging Artists String Quartet, introducing four brilliant young musicians poised for major careers.Â
On November 19, clarinetist Gerbrich Meijer, winner of the Academy’s 2025 Alumni Performance Award, returns to Santa Barbara for a bold recital with acclaimed pianist and Music Academy teaching artist Conor Hanick. The evening includes a Music Academy-commissioned world premiere by Derek Bermel.

The new year welcomes the vibrant Lark, Roman & Meyer Trio — violinist Tessa Lark, cellist and Music Academy alum Joshua Roman, and double bassist Edgar Meyer — on January 8 with a genre-blending ensemble of Grammy-recognized virtuosos whose collaboration promises a night of spirited musical exploration.Â
In April, the New York Philharmonic String Quartet arrives for two back-to-back performances. On April 2, they take the stage as a quartet; on April 3, they return with pianist and Music Academy alum Han Chen for an expansive chamber music program.

Held in Hahn Hall, the Academy’s state-of-the-art concert venue, the Mariposa Concert Series brings audiences face-to-face with some of today’s most compelling artists. Each Mariposa concert begins at 7:30 PM with a complimentary wine reception starting at 6:30 PM.Â
Across the season, the Mariposa Concert Series highlights the Music Academy family of artists and alumni while deepening the Academy’s year-round commitment to musical excellence and community connection.
