Peter R. Taffae
Board Member
Peter R. Taffae is retired insurance executive, most recently as Founder and Managing Partner of ExecutivePerils, Inc., which was sold to Goldman Sachs in 2022. A nationally recognized expert in executive and professional liability, Peter held senior positions and leadership roles at Marsh and Chubb.
Peter co-wrote the insurance industry’s first cyber insurance policy in 1996. Peter also created two proprietary new coverages, the first one dedicated to the franchise industry and the second, dedicated to the real estate related industries. Both provide protection unique to their industry and continue to be very successful. Recipient of numerous industry awards including Power Broker®, Risk Innovator, Hot 100 (five years) and Business Insurance’s Hall of Fame. Peter is frequently quoted in industry publications as well as The Wall Street Journal.
He currently serves on the boards of Simon Wiesenthal Center/ Museum of Tolerance (Governance/ Nominations and Audit), Ithaca College (Co-chair Audit and Buildings/Grounds), Music Academy of the West (Philanthropy and Marketing), Casa Dorinda (Operations and Marketing), and Taffae Family Foundation. Peter resides in Montecito, California.
