So Jung is a graduate student at Colburn Conservatory studying with Peter Lloyd. She has performed with One Korea Youth Orchestra and Orchestra Ensemble Seoul and is a member of the Melo Bass Ensemble. So Jung won the 2015 Music Education News Competition and took third in both the 2017 Korea Contrabass Association Competition and the 2015 Music Association of Korea Competition.
