Rebecca Reale joined the first violin section of the Los Angeles Philharmonic in 2017, and was appointed to her current fixed chair in 2021. Prior to joining the LA Phil, she served as Principal Second Violin of the Houston Symphony and a member of the New World Symphony.

A devoted chamber musician, Reale makes frequent appearances both on the Los Angeles Philharmonic chamber series and the Green Umbrella contemporary music series. Her passion for sharing music extends to education: she has led masterclasses and coached sectionals at renowned institutions including the New England Conservatory, Boston University, Princeton University, the YOLA program, the Sphinx Organization, and the New World Symphony.

Originally from Upstate New York, Rebecca began studying violin at age two and a half. At 14, her musical journey led her to the Walnut Hill School for the Arts in Boston, where she studied with Boston University professor Peter Zazofsky. She went on to earn her bachelor's degree in violin performance at Rice University under the tutelage of Kathleen Winkler.

Reale and her husband reside in Hollywood with their two dogs: a spunky Boxer mix named Mowgli, and a sassy Frenchie named Callisto.
