Katherine Dobbs
mezzo-soprano
Katherine is earning a master’s degree at Rice University Shepherd School of Music studying with Robin Rice. Roles include Mrs. Jones in Kurt Weill's Street Scene, Orfeo in Gluck's Orfeo ed Euridice, and Ms. Todd in Menotti's The Old Maid and the Thief. She has attended the Dolora Zajick’s Institute for Young Dramatic Voices for three summers and is the recipient of the 2022 G. Hans Grueninger German Award. Other awards include:
- The GCC Series – The Art of Art Song, 1st place; 2020
- The GCC Series – The Art of Opera, 2nd place; 2020
- Meghan Parker Award For the most Outstanding 1st Year Vocalist at the DePauw SoM; 2019
