John Arida has been praised as “an ardent accompanist… catching fire in the accompaniments and in the solo piece - The Washington Post
The pianist/coach appears regularly with many of classical music’s most esteemed performers. His artistry has been acclaimed in international recital engagements across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Notable venues include Carnegie Hall, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Kennedy Center, Herbst Theater, Spivey Hall, and the Apollo Theater. Arida begins his 2021 summer season with in-person concert engagements alongside Isabel Leonard, Julia Bullock, Miles Mykkanen, and Adam Richardson. During the 2020/21 season, Arida performed with Isabel Leonard for Carnegie Hall’s Virtual Opening Night Gala and previously virtually collaborated with Leonard for “MTT25: An Online Tribute to Michael Tilson Thomas.” Arida has been a member of the music staffs of The Juilliard School, Washington National Opera, Central City Opera, the Castleton Festival, Virginia Opera, and the Prototype Festival, among other organizations. Arida’s debut album is “The Travelled Road,” a collaboration with mezzo-soprano Megan Marino and cellist Jameson Platte, and featuring the music of Evan Mack.
