Jacob Hord

Jacob Hord recently earned his master’s degree at San Francisco Conservatory in the studio of Jacob Nissly. He also studied at the Southern Methodist University as a student of George Nickson and Brian Jones. Jacob regularly performs as principal timpanist with the Dallas Wind Symphony and Springfield Symphony and as organist for the Northridge Presbyterian Church. As timpanist, he has appeared with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra and New Mexico Philharmonic. When not performing, he teaches at the Dallas Academy of Music and Performing Arts.
