Kristin Chesnutt Oro
Product Manager, Augmented Reality, Apple
Music was the first language Kristin mastered. She learned leadership and innovation principles from the framework of classical violin competitions and string quartets, as well as from the podium as a conductor. She attended Stanford University where she studied Human Biology with a concentration in Music, Brain and Behavior. For Kristin, the principles of Stanford d.School translated the concepts of music into the world of product development and innovation. Kristin now works in the technology industry and strives to build technology products that can enable impactful experiences through music, stories, and human connection. As a partner with the Stanford d.School, she has brought forward Stanford’s principles of innovation within her industry.
Kristin now works as a Product Manager for Augmented Reality at Apple. In her previous role at Dolby Laboratories, she worked at the intersection of technology, perception and content experiences to enable new kinds of storytelling through technology innovation. Kristin currently plays violin as a member of the Peninsula Symphony Orchestra and as a member of the worship band at Reality SF Church.
