Bin Yu Sanford
2021 Vocal Institute Fellow
BIN YU SANFORD ('19) 29, born in Seoul, South Korea is a studio artist with Houston Grand Opera and was a 2020 Young Artist with the Glimmerglass Festival. At HGO, she has served as assistant coach in their productions of Mozart's Impresario, Thompson's The Snowy Day, and Rodger's The Sound of Music. Bin earned her doctorate at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. She took first place in the 2015 MTNA Pennsylvania Competition and performed with the West Chester University Symphony Orchestra as their 2016 Concerto Competition Winner. She studies with Marie-France Lefebvre and James Tocco.
