                                                        KEVIN ARTHUR CARLSON 22, born in Staten Island, New York, was appointed Assistant Principal Trombonist of the National Symphony Orchestra by Gianandrea Noseda in January. Mr. Carlson was previously an undergraduate at The Juilliard School where he studied with Joseph Alessi. Previous teachers include Colin Williams, Nikki Abissi, and Tony Mazzocchi.
